 Program
A team of 3 people from the Verizon store located on Philadelphia street conducted a presentation on cell phone technology.  A short history of cell phone technology was presented with a showing of old phones that had been used.  The 1980s marked the started of cells phones which were for cars only.  The used a nickel hydrate battery which lost memory over use.  The technology then moved into digital.  Motorola introduced the flip phone with lithium nicad memory free battery.  This is the standard battery used in all phones used today.

Phones service today offers text messaging for a small charge of $3 for 100 messages per month.  A media messaging packaging is also offered.  One can create an online album  at www.bzwpix.com to store phone pictures.  It is also possible to connect a phone to a computer via a usb connection.

“Get it Now” offers programs in 5 areas:

1 – Games and ring tones in stereo.

2 – Streaming media for weather, health, education or business related issues.  Only available as far as New Alexandrea to date.
